About this app

Discover the history of the University of Lucerne from the 16th century to the present day - embark on a journey through time, guided by the University of Lucernes "Path of the University" app. Have the various milestones explained to you via headphones and learn exciting background information and anecdotes about the respective stations and the city of Lucerne that you might not otherwise have experienced. To get past all the stations, follow the marked route. The tour takes you through the most important events on the University of Lucernes route and lasts about 2 hours. If you are unable to complete the tour, you can either use the app or visit www.unilu.ch/weg-der-universitaet to complete the tour with pictures, the audio and a full text version in the comfort of your own home.

No internet? No problem. The audio tour is also available offline, so that you can obtain information about the stations anytime and anywhere.

To use this app

Turn on the sound and GPS tracking services on your phone and enable the notification feature in the settings of this app. Accept the apps access to "Media and files". Although your "media and files" will NOT be accessed by the app, your consent is still required. By tapping the map icon, you will continuously see your current location. If you tap the location icon, you will see the list of all points of interest. As you approach a point of interest, a message will appear on your screen and the audio commentary will play automatically. You can also search for all the locations yourself using the map or the list of locations and call up the relevant information with a click.
